In 1995, I started my company, LORENSTONE, Inc., with a very clear mission...

to provide support to trade professionals, architects, builders and interior designers, by working with them as part of their team, so that they can be free to put their time and creative energy into other parts of the project.

Our services include tile specification, material, design

and

 installation by a group of skilled craftsmen, whose attention to detail and experience in working with only the finest materials is unmatched in the industry.

We have a beautiful, ever-evolving showroom in Libertyville, Illinois, that is filled with the most beautiful lines of tile from the most respected and highly regarded tile and stone companies from all over the world.  Any great project must begin with a quality product from a trusted supplier.  Over the years, we are proud to say that we have developed an incredible mutual respect with the vendors and suppliers whose lines we have carefully chosen to be partners with LORENSTONE.

 

  I have an obsession with details...I am an absolute perfectionist.  I believe that a vision can transform a space and make it extraordinary!  I believe in taking risks....daring to be different, and in having the confidence to create your own unique personal style.  I believe there are no rules...be free, be confident, express yourself in the intricacies of the materials you choose to surround yourself with.  Enjoy the process of creating the dream as much as the dream itself.

Never let anyone steer you into a "style".  If you like it, don't be afraid to go for it.  Exude confidence, feel things deeply, and live with strength and confidence.  Never let anyone tell you that you "can't" do something.  Don't surrender to a design style just because it's "safe".  Take the risk, challenge yourself to think outside the box and what you will achieve will far exceed your wildest dreams.

I believe that my client's quality of life greatly improves when they live in the spaces I have created for them.   I believe they are happier, more confident, and more successful.  I believe that they feel sexier, more alive and experience a greater passion for life in general.  While there is no scientific proof to support these claims, I absolutely believe them to be true.

​

I believe that it is impossible to design a space for someone without really taking the time to get to know what their tastes are, visions are, and without a clear understanding of how they see themselves living in their finished space.  To me, there is no greater reward than the joy that my clients feel after having lived in a space that I have created for them.  

​

  Over the years, I am very fortunate to be able to say that many of my clients have become my friends.  This is one of the greatest gifts I have received and has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
