Lorelei Dinou was responsible for the selection, purchase and installation of all tile and stone for our new home, including tile for five baths, tile floors, kitchen, pantry and powder room countertops, and fireplace tiles and surrounds. She has worked with us for five months and I have been extremely satisfied with her work.

Lorelei's knowledge of stone and eye for quality is superb. Her efforts and energies are unflagging. Most importantly, Lorelei has been an extraordinarily conscientious and responsive subcontractor for out tile and stonework: she has constantly supervised the installers, appearing on site every day and demanding a high level of performance from her subcontractors. Lorelei is also an honest and hardworking advocate for quality. Very often, Lorelei corrected problems that I had not even noticed, and almost every time I raised an issue, she had already noted it and was already working to fix it. Work was always completed quickly, without nagging small projects to finish up. On our punch list of hundreds of items, only two were related to tile and stone, and they were addressed immediately.
The quality of product LORENSTONE provides is exceptional and well worth its cost. When Lorelei first presented her bid for material and installation, it was significantly higher than our builder's budget. However, we believe that we got more than what we paid for: unmatched creativity and design, flawless installation and attention to detail on the part of all involved. They transformed a dated Family Room and fireplace into an elegant and bright living space. A tired, old, dark brick fireplace and wall became a sleek visual focal point of the room when clad in a beautiful French Vanilla slate. We admire and enjoy it daily.

Lorelei's suggestions to update our space, included the removal of a knee wall that separated our eating area and family room and replacing it with a gentle archway that allowed for an open transition from one room to the other. The floor tile she selected and installed is beautiful and practical. It fits the feel of the first floor that now flows seamlessly. Lorelei's vision goes way beyond just "the tile" part; she considers the full room and how our family of four plus two dogs live in the space.

Lorelei and Brian completed this project while our family was out of town. When we arrived home, it was like a real-life HGTV episode! We came home that evening to find our first floor perfectly done, lights dimmed, candles lit, a beautiful vase of flowers on our kitchen table and soft music playing: talk about the "Big Reveal". It was wonderful and so clear that Lorelei had thought of every detail that would make our coming home to our new finished project so perfect!

A few months later, we again hired LORENSTONE to remodel our Powder Room. They used a beautiful hand-made tile with crystalline glass embedded in it to form a wainscot around the entire room. They used a beautiful tile chair rail to create the perfect "frame" around our medicine cabinet, which made it look like a lovely mirror hanging on the wall. It turned out beautiful and is now a simple, yet elegant room.

We just finished our second project with Lorelei. We told her, in general, what we were hoping to accomplish and her selection of materials and colors blew us away. She is now two for two!! Lorelei has a talent for listening to what you want and then delivers beautiful materials and designs that are unique and spectacular. In addition to her professionalism throughout the process, her installers are also extremely good. They are craftsmen and their attention to detail during the installation, fit and finish was terrific.

We are in the process of buying another home in Scottsdale and are working to make sure she can oversee and take on the remodeling there. We won't work with anyone else, especially with respect to stone and hard surfaces.
